What To Expect

Everything you need to know before you arrive—no pressure, just a warm welcome.

We gather for worship every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Whether you arrive early, right on time, or a little late, you’re welcome.

Our service is also livestreamed and available to watch anytime on YouTube. For a deeper look at what worship is like at FUMC—or to learn about special services during Advent and Lent—visit our Worship page.

Wear what feels right for you. On any given Sunday, you’ll see a wide range of styles—from formal to casual. While our pastors and choir may wear traditional robes, our congregation comes dressed in many different ways.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable. If you feel good in what you’re wearing, you’re dressed just right for worship at FUMC.

Visitor and accessible parking is available each Sunday right in front of the sanctuary entrance. You’ll also find plenty of nearby street parking along Church Street and Fisher Street, along with parking at the Rowan County Library.

If parking feels confusing or you need a hand, please don’t hesitate to ask—we’re glad you’re here.

If you’re visiting for the first time, don’t worry about choosing the “right” door—we’ll help you. On Sundays, greeters are stationed at the Church Street entrances and the Fisher Street portico entrance, ready to welcome you and guide you to worship.

For visits to the church office during the week (Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.), please enter through the Fisher Street portico entrance, where a staff member or volunteer will be happy to assist you.
