First Friday Nights
Dinner, meaningful programming, and fun for children on the first Friday night of the month

Parents, enjoy a night out while your kids enjoy a safe, fun-filled Friday evening at First United Methodist Church of Salisbury!

Children infants through 5th grade are invited to an evening of age-appropriate activities, play, and connection in a warm, caring environment. Trusted church volunteers will be on hand to make sure every child feels welcomed and has a great night. Our nursery is staffed by our regular church nursery workers, so even our youngest children are well cared for.

To help us prepare and ensure a safe experience for everyone, registration opens two weeks prior to each First Friday and closes on the Wednesday before the event at 1:00 p.m. (two days before First Friday).

Welcoming Children to Worship
We love having children in worship and offer several ways to help them feel included, engaged, and cared for—no matter their age or attention span.

Curated Activity Bags: Available each Sunday, our curated activity bags are designed to help children stay engaged during worship. Each bag includes age-appropriate activities that connect gently with the service and give kids something meaningful to do while staying in the sanctuary with their families

Children's Moments: Each week during worship, children are invited to come forward for a Children’s Moment before the sermon. This short, welcoming time helps children connect with the message of the day in a way that’s accessible and engaging—then they return to sit with their families.

Children's Church: On the first Sunday of each month, children are invited to participate in Children’s Church during the worship service. This special time offers age-appropriate learning, stories, and activities centered on faith and community.
